The shield of Faith enables us to quench the fiery darts of the wicked one.

Satan throws darts at the child of God. Lies from the pit of hell.

The Word of God says that if we go to the elders of the church, and have them anoint us with oil, and confess our faults one to another, the prayer of faith SHALL heal the sick, and if he have committed any sins, they will be forgiven them. The fiery dart says; “Yes, but you know old Jim, who had the same thing you have, and he died because of it.”

Many people cried out to Jesus for healing, and many times he said “go thy way, your faith has made thee whole.”
The Word of God says that “All things work together for good for those who love God, who are the called, according to His purpose,” so we should have faith that says "It doesn’t matter how big the storm is, I know that God will pull me through, and afterwards, I will be even stronger for this”. The fiery dart says “There’s no way you’ll make it through this one. You might as well give up.”
The Word of God says that my God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in Glory, and that David said “I was young, but now I am old, and I have never seen the righteous foresaken nor his seed begging for bread.” The fiery darts say “well, you might as well give it up. You’ve lost your job, and you are going to lose everything. How in the world are you going to feed your family?”
The Names of God are declared in the Old Testament and are revealed in the New Testament through Jesus Christ. His Names are also our promises, if we are born again children of God.

GOD IS TRUTH. HE IS WHO HE SAYS HE IS.

He is Jehovah Jireh, our provider. The fiery dart plants doubt in our minds as to whether or not He will come through for us.
He is Jehovah Raphe, our healer. The fiery dart says there’s no way you’ll be healed.
He is Jehovah Rohi, our shepherd, who says “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” The fiery dart says “You’ve gone too far. There’s no way you can return now.”
He is Jehovah M’keddesh, our sanctification. His Word says that we are to learn to possess our vessels in sanctication. The fiery dart says “what are you, some kind of Holy Roller?” Or, “You don’t have to get so fanatical about this thing.”
He is Jehovah Tsidkenu, our righteousness. The fiery dart says that our own righteousness is sufficient.
He is Jehovah Qannah, a Jealous God. He says not to seek the things below, but the things which are above. The fiery dart says "you can do what ever you want, you can serve two masters". The fiery dart says "go for the gold and the treasures of this world. Forget about the souls that are going to Hell.”
He is Jehovah Nissi, our banner. If God is for us, who can be against us? The fiery dart says you need to fear what man can do to you.
He is Jehovah Tsaba, (Sabaoth) the Lord of Hosts. The Word of God tells us that there are more with us than are with the enemy (2 Ki. 6:16). The fiery dart tells us that all Hell is breaking out against us, and there is no hope.
He is Jehovah Shammah, He is present. He is an ever present help in times of trouble. The fiery dart says the situation is hopeless.
He is I AM. He doesn’t change. He is the same today as he was yesterday. The fiery dart says the gifts of God were for another dispensation.
He is Abba, our Father. As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear Him. The fiery dart says there’s no way can you receive forgiveness for that sin.
He is our Saviour. His blood has saved us from our sins. The fiery dart says there’s no way you can overcome that sin. It says “look at you...and you call yourself a Christian?”
Trust in Who He is, and Who He says He is, will quench the fiery darts of the wicked one. Our confidence cannot be in our own ability, but in the One who strengthens us, and the ability He has given us.

TOO MANY CHRISTIANS SAY THEY BELIEVE THE BIBLE IS THE INERRANT DIVINELY INSPIRED WORD OF GOD, YET, THEY ACTUALLY LIVE LIKE THEY DON’T BELIEVE IT IS. SO MANY HAVE A FORM OF GODLINESS, BUT THEY DENY THE POWER THEREOF.

BELIEF IN THE TRUTH OF HIS WORD, AND WALKING IN THAT TRUTH IS A SHIELD FOR US THAT ENABLES US TO WALK IN VICTORY. IT’S NOT A MATTER OF TRYING IT FOR A WHILE, AND THEN GIVING UP BECAUSE “IT DOESN’T WORK.” SATAN WILL ALWAYS BE BUSY PLANTING DOUBTS IN OUR MIND, TRYING TO GET US TO QUESTION THE WORD, SAYING “YEA, HAS GOD SAID...”, AND ENTICING US TO BELIEVE WHAT WE SEE, RATHER THAN WHAT GOD SAYS. IF WE PROPERLY WIELD THE SHIELD OF FAITH, WE WILL BE ABLE TO QUENCH ALL THE FIERY DARTS THAT SATAN AND HIS DEMONS THROW AT US.

When Jesus was baptized in the Jordan, the Father spoke from Heaven, saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased,” And immediately Jesus was driven into the Wilderness by the Spirit to be tested by the devil.
Forty days later, the devil said “If you are the Son of God...” He tried to get Jesus to question who he was. Every born again child of God goes through this temptation. Satan says “If you are the Son of God, life should be easier...” “If you are the son or daughter of God, why do you do the things you do?” “If you are really a child of God...” Satan interjects thoughts into our minds, and then points an accusing finger at us, and says, "if you were a child of God, you wouldn’t have thought that thought....” But remember the Word says that the weapons of our warfare are mighty through God, to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

We don’t have to prove that we are a child of God to Satan. If we have come to Jesus Christ out of a sincere heart, have recieved the Holy Spirit of God through our surrender to Him, and are striving to walk in obedience to Him, no accusation of Satan can remove us from the Love of Christ. We need to know who we are in Christ, and we need to walk in that knowledge. The helmet of salvation is so important for the Soldier of Christ.
Too many Christians fall prey to the Accuser, and end up questioning their Salvation. Legalism breeds Guilt, cheapening the Grace of God Unconditional eternal security, (which says I am saved, now, so it doesn’t matter what I do, I’ll still go to heaven), on the other hand, results in doing despite to the grace of God, and makes a mockery of the things of God to those who are on the outside.
Salvation requires repentance. Have you decided that you are going to turn away from your sins and follow Jesus? Jesus is the One Who can empower you to do that. Feeling sorry for your sins is not enough. You need to want to be free from them.
Those who are children of God do not live a life of practicing sin (1 John 3:9-10). BUT that’s not to say you will live a sinless life. The Word of God says that we are NOT to sin, but IF (not when) we sin, we have an Advocate (Lawyer) with the Father, Jesus Christ, the Righteous one. Wonderful Jesus! Pick yourself up, and dust yourself off, and start walking again. Sooner or later, if you truly are repentant, and truly a child of God, you will overcome that sin, and it will have no more dominion over you.
You need to understand that we now have a high Priest which understands our infirmities, and who is always making intercession on our behalf. God wants us to be overcomers...And we can be. But we need to know who we are in the Kingdom of God.
Though he or she may still struggle with sin in their life, the child of God will want to be free from it. The unconverted sinner will wallow in it, and in his or her drunkeness, they will say, “Hey, I’m saved. Who are you to judge me?”

You need to know who you are in Jesus. If you are a child of God, but just struggling with some sin in your life, SEEK GOD TO DELIVER YOU FROM IT. HE WILL. If you prayed a prayer once, but your life reflects no change, you need to get serious with God, and REPENT, and get saved. But once you are truly saved, you need to keep your mind free from the accusations of the enemy, and understand THAT A CHILD OF GOD DOES NOT NEED TO SUBMIT TO THE DEMANDS OF A LESSER BEING.

The weapon that has been given to us to destroy all the work of the enemy is the Word of God. It is called the Sword of the Spirit. As I said earlier, those who say they believe that the Bible is the inerrant, infallible Word of God, have to stand on that word, and not be moved. To sum it all up, we need to understand that we are in a battle, and passivity will not work. Those who are complacent will be devoured.

Once he is properly armed and licensed, the skilled hunter will go into the forest, not fearful but alert, with a power and authority that far surpasses the power of the Lion. GLORY! Jesus has given us Authority over all the power of the enemy. What do you suppose would happen, if the body of Christ rose up and exercised their AUTHORITY?
