NEWSLETTER (CONTINUED)
About three weeks ago, I went out to Cherry Street Park with the youth pastor
of Cornerstone ministries, Aaron Lousteau, and several of his on-fire for
Jesus youth. Aaron had the mike, and with some provoking on my part (not
much, though,) Aaron anounced that we would come out and feed the people
in that vicinity in two weeks. Aaron’s like most good youth pastors, wild
and ready to go for anything in regard to furthering the Kingdom of God.
Now here we were, committed to feeding a neighborhood, and we didn’t have
anything to do it with.
A precious ministry called the Open Church got behind the effort immediately
and bought 100 pounds of chicken and fifty pounds of hamburger, and donated
1000 cups to the cause. Then Cornerstone bought 100 pounds of chicken also.
Several of the women from Cornerstone made potato salad; Aaron’s mother,
Angela spearheaded the effort to get the food ready and arranged to get
a brother out there with a rotisserie barbecue pit that could cook 150 chicken
quarters at one time.
Brother Herb Stanley of Cornerstone Children’s Ministry coordinated the outreach as far as the praise and worship, the puppet skits, and provided the stage as well.
In three short weeks, we had a good outreach that came together to bring Jesus to that neighborhood. Jam for the Lamb from Port Arthur came all the way to Morgan City just to bless us with their special praise and worship. About 120 people showed up, the majority of them being Laborers in the harvest. We still had several from the neighborhood show up, but not like I had wanted to. Then it occurred to me as I looked out at the crowd, that there is a good number of people in this area who have a heart for reaching people for Jesus.
PRAISE THE LORD!
I RECENTLY PUT OUT A CHALLENGE TO ALL WHO ARE ON MY E-MAIL LIST. I SAID THAT
IF THE 44 PEOPLE WHO WERE ON MY LIST DECIDED THAT THEY WERE GOING TO SET A
GOAL OF LEADING AT LEAST ONE PERSON A MONTH TO THE LORD, THAT WOULD ADD UP
TO 528 PEOPLE A YEAR. IF EACH PERSON SHARED THAT CHALLENGE TO THEIR CHURCHES,
AND IF EVEN HALF THE PEOPLE IN EACH CHURCH TOOK UP THE CHALLENGE, THINK OF
THE HARVEST THAT WOULD RESULT IN!
I SEND OUT 200 + NEWSLETTERS. MOST OF THE PEOPLE WHO GET MY NEWSLETTER ARE CHRISTIANS. IT’S A SIMPLE CHALLENGE...WILL YOU TAKE IT? BELIEVE ME, THE HARVEST IS RIPE.
THE LORD SPOKE TO BILLY REAUX’S HEART, AND TOLD HIM THAT IT IS OVERRIPE!
PLEASE PRAY FOR CORNERSTONE, OPEN CHURCH, AARON LOUSTEAU, ANGELA LOUSTEAU, AND ALL THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE GOTTEN BEHIND THE EFFORT TO REACH SOULS FOR JESUS IN THIS AREA, THAT THE LORD WOULD ALLOW THEM TO SEE THE FRUIT OF THEIR LABORS.
ALSO PRAY THAT THE CHURCH IN GENERAL THROUGHOUT THE WORLD WOULD WAKE UP, AND HEED THE CALL OF
2 CHRONICLES 7:14
“IF MY PEOPLE, WHICH ARE CALLED BY MY NAME, SHALL
HUMBLE THEMSELVES, AND PRAY, AND SEEK MY FACE, AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED
WAYS, THEN WILL I HEAR FROM HEAVEN, AND WILL FORGIVE THEIR SIN, AND WILL HEAL
THEIR LAND”.
YOU NEED TO HUMBLE YOURSELF TO SHARE THE LOVE OF JESUS TO OTHERS. YOU NEED TO HUMBLE YOURSELF TO BE ABLE TO PUT ASIDE ALL THE DOCTRINAL DIFFERENCES THAT CAUSE CHRIST’S CHURCH TO BE DIVIDED, AND LARGELY INEFFECTIVE.
IN CALI, COLUMBIA, A GREAT REVIVAL IS HAPPENING, BECAUSE THE BODY OF CHRIST HAS LAID ASIDE THEIR DIFFERENCES AND ARE SEEKING JESUS. GOD WANTS TO HEAL OUR LAND OF IT’S WICKEDNESS, BUT FIRST THOSE WHO CALL THEMSELVES BY THE NAME OF “CHRISTIAN” NEED TO REPENT OF THEIR WICKEDNESS OF TRYING TO BE CONFORMED TO THE WAYS OF THE WORLD, AND GOSSIPING AND BACKBITING, AND POINTING THE ACCUSING FINGER AT ONE ANOTHER, AND NOT REACHING OUT TO THOSE WHO ARE ON THE OUTSIDE.
JESUS SAID MEN WOULD KNOW WE ARE HIS DISCIPLES BY THE LOVE WE HAVE FOR ONE ANOTHER. IT’S TIME FOR THE CHURCH TO LET IT’S LIGHT SHINE, AND TO COMPEL THOSE WHO ARE ON THE OUTSIDE TO COME IN.
PEOPLE ARE DYING EVERYDAY, AND ENTERING INTO HELL, AND THE CHURCH HAS BEEN LARGELY APATHETIC ABOUT THE WHOLE THING! IT’S TIME FOR THOSE OF US WHO KNOW THE TRUTH TO SET A STANDARD FOR THE REST OF THE BODY OF CHRIST TO SEE. IF YOU DON’T HAVE A HEART FOR THE LOST TO BE SAVED, PRAY! THERE IS NOTHING MORE REWARDING IN SEEING ANOTHER SOUL SNATCHED FROM THE GRIP OF SATAN, AND BROUGHT INTO THE JOY OF THE LORD!
PEOPLE ARE FILLING THE VOID THAT ONLY GOD CAN FILL WITH ALCOHOL, DRUGS,
SEX, VIOLENCE, THE OCCULT, COVETOUSNESS, AND MATERIALISM. OUR LIGHT NEEDS
TO SHINE SO BRIGHTLY, THAT THERE WILL BE NO DOUBT AS TO THE FACT THAT ONLY
JESUS CAN FILL THE GAP.
CROSS TO THE STREETS CONFERENCE HOLY SPIRIT-ORCHESTRATED HANDS ON LESSON
At the cross to the streets evangelism conference in Lockport that Mike,
Brian Chamberlin, Brian O’Connell and I taught at after Mardi Gras, we had
a wonderful turn-out of soldiers.
On the last night, after we were all done, two women and a man came in,
thinking that the Circuit Rider’s Motorcycle Ministry was a bar, because
of all the Harleys that were parked outside. When they realized they were
in the wrong place, it was too late. I saw the man look at the women, and
his eyes were huge with surprise as he said “We’re in the WRONG ---------
PLACE!” I looked at him, and said, “No you’re not, man. You are in the right
place!” A crowd was gathered around them as we ministered to them, and eventually
they prayed to receive Jesus. It was a beautiful set-up by God.
My huge 12’ high white cross was standing right in front of the building
where all could see it. Obviously, the Lord had shut their eyes so they
wouldn’t see it.
We had just given a three day seminar on how to win souls for Jesus, and
three souls “just happened” to stumble into the building. What a wonderful
Godincidence!
